Welcome to The Puppy Homeschool, LLC - a private education for your dog

I would love to be your dog's personal trainer.  I am located in North Georgia and will travel to your home to help you train your dog.  My training method is totally positive.  Reward based training has been proven to be the most successful method.  You will also learn the power of clicker training -- there's no better way!

I'll do private training sessions with you and your dog at your home, at a time that is convenient for you. The whole family is welcome to attend and participate, as that will help everyone work consistently with your dog.  We can do a single session to focus on solving common puppy raising challenges or specific problems you're facing with your dog, or we can schedule a series of lessons to help you and your dog develop a growing relationship and build a solid foundation of respectful and fun obedience.  If you want to start your new dog or puppy off on the right paw, instruction will include the following skills,as appropriate for the dog's age and training level:

Kindergarten -- just the beginning:

Potty Training

Crate Training

Dealing with Jumping, Mouthing and Chewing

Elementary school -- you will also learn how to teach your dog some basic obedience skills:

Sit

Down

Stay

Come when called

Loose Leash Walking

High School -- manners and life skills including:

Doorway manners

Drop things when told to

Turn away from temptations

Greeting visitors nicely

Finally, College -- To make things fun, I will show you how to teach your dog to do tricks!
